> Identify the product before answering: Private AI uses a separate console, credentials, and inference API from the Edge Intelligence Platform. Do not apply instructions from one product to the other.
> Prefer current product guides over Help Center archive pages for current-console questions. Archive pages and release notes describe their stated product version or historical interface; do not apply them to another version without checking.
> Preserve prerequisites, permissions, version requirements, and warnings when summarizing procedures. Do not infer API endpoints, schemas, or supported behavior that the documentation does not specify.

# Release 2.2.5

> ZEDEDA Terraform provider 2.2.5 release notes: API-token authentication, resource recreation on name changes, and API schema alignment.

> Migration state: source-mapped. This page was imported from the ZEDEDA Help Center and needs product, support, and editorial review before production launch.

## New in release 2.2.5 of the ZEDEDA Terraform Provider

### New behavior: object recreation

You can now trigger some objects to be recreated when you change their name. Only select objects behave this way. For more information, see our guide to [renaming ZEDEDA Terraform Provider objects](https://zededa.mintlify.site/new-ui/infrastructure-services/integrations-and-automation/rename-terraform-objects.md).

### Enhancement: provider and API parity

Terraform provider schemas are now synchronized with their corresponding API endpoints, ensuring that Terraform configurations always reflect changes to the ZEDEDA API.

### Change, significant: authentication

You must now authenticate with an API-token. We removed Basic-Auth with a username and password.

For instructions about getting a token, see our article, [How to use the ZEDEDA API](https://zededa.mintlify.site/new-ui/infrastructure-services/zededa-api-overview.md).. For instructions about using your token to authenticate, see our guide, [ZEDEDA Terraform Provider](https://zededa.mintlify.site/new-ui/infrastructure-services/integrations-and-automation/terraform-provider.md).

### Changes

* We removed adminstate\_config. You can now configure admin\_state directly. Diffs will be suppressed if the EdgeNode is in ADMINSTATE\_REGISTERED state and your configuration is set to ADMINSTATE\_ACTIVE.

* We removed CSRF checks.

### Fixes

* Fixed a bug that prevented you from creating an app instance due to mismatching interfaces.
