> Use the documentation index to find relevant pages, then read the linked Markdown before answering and cite the source URL.
> Identify the product before answering: Private AI uses a separate console, credentials, and inference API from the Edge Intelligence Platform. Do not apply instructions from one product to the other.
> Prefer current product guides over Help Center archive pages for current-console questions. Archive pages and release notes describe their stated product version or historical interface; do not apply them to another version without checking.
> Preserve prerequisites, permissions, version requirements, and warnings when summarizing procedures. Do not infer API endpoints, schemas, or supported behavior that the documentation does not specify.

# Edge Apps

> Browse, import, and manage edge container applications from the ZEDEDA Marketplace catalog.

The Edge Apps catalog contains edge container applications published by ZEDEDA and third-party providers. Browse the catalog to find applications, add them to your library, and deploy them to nodes.

## Browse the Catalog

1. In the sidebar, select **Marketplace**.
2. Select **Edge Apps** from the navigation, or select the Edge Apps card on the Marketplace home page.
3. Use the search bar to find a specific application by name.
4. Use the filter panel to narrow by Category, Type, License, Installs, or Tags. The Tags filter is available when your connected backend supports tag-based queries for edge apps. Enter one or more tags in `key:value` format to narrow the catalog to apps that carry all selected tags. See [Tagging](https://zededa.mintlify.site/new-ui/start/tagging.md).
5. Select an item card to open the application detail page.

## Application Detail Page

The application detail page contains the following tabs. The set of tabs shown depends on the application type.

| Tab | App types | Content |
| - | - | - |
| **Overview** | All | Identity, resources, drives summary, and application metadata. |
| **Drives** | VM, Container, Module | Drive configuration table: Drive Type, Target, Volume Label, Image, Max Size, Encrypted, Purge, Mount Path. |
| **Interfaces** | VM, Container | Network interface configuration including ACL rules. Inbound ACL columns: ACL #, Action, Protocol, Source IP, Node Port, Adapter Label, App Port, Rate, Burst. Outbound ACL columns: ACL #, Action, Protocol, Outbound Host or IP, Port, Rate, Burst. |
| **Configuration** | VM, Container, Docker Compose | Custom configuration parameters. |
| **Developer Info** | All | Publisher and developer metadata. |
| **Module** | Module | Container options, module deployment details (twin detail), message routes, and environment variables. |

## Add an Application to Your Library

Applications not yet in your library show an **Add to library** button on the item card and detail page. Select **Add to library** to import the application into your enterprise library.

After importing, the item card shows **Open in library** and the application is available in My Library.

## Import an Edge Application

To import an application from a JSON manifest file or create a new application from scratch using the type picker, see [Import Edge Applications](https://zededa.mintlify.site/new-ui/marketplace/import-edge-applications.md).

Actions available after adding to your library:

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| **Deploy as application** | Deploy the edge application to a node or fleet. |
| **Duplicate** | Copy the application. A dialog appears with two options: **Duplicate** creates an untouched clone of the application including its manifest, drives, interfaces, and configuration. **Duplicate & Configure** opens the edge application creation wizard pre-filled with the existing application's settings, so you can adjust any fields before saving the copy. |
| **Settings** | Edit the application configuration. |
| **Delete** | Remove the application from your library. If application instances were deployed from this edge application, deleting it also deletes those instances. See [Manage an Edge App](https://zededa.mintlify.site/new-ui/marketplace/manage-an-edge-app.md#delete-an-edge-app). |
