> Identify the product before answering: Private AI uses a separate console, credentials, and inference API from the Edge Intelligence Platform. Do not apply instructions from one product to the other.
> Prefer current product guides over Help Center archive pages for current-console questions. Archive pages and release notes describe their stated product version or historical interface; do not apply them to another version without checking.
> Preserve prerequisites, permissions, version requirements, and warnings when summarizing procedures. Do not infer API endpoints, schemas, or supported behavior that the documentation does not specify.

# Profile Settings

> Manage your personal account information, security settings, notification preferences, and appearance in Edge Infrastructure Services.

Profile Settings is your personal configuration area in Edge Infrastructure Services. From here, you manage your contact information, two-factor authentication, API tokens, and display preferences.

## How It Works

Profile Settings are organized into a left-navigation sidebar with the following groups. Access them by selecting your profile avatar in the header, then selecting **Profile Settings**.

| Group | Section | Purpose |
| - | - | - |
| Account | Profile | Contact information including name, email, phone, language, and time zone. |
| Security & Access | Security | Two-factor authentication (2FA) setup and password change. |
| Security & Access | API Tokens | Personal API tokens for CLI and programmatic API access. Each token you create appears here as a session entry. |
| Preferences | Notifications | Toggle channels for email, SMS, critical alerts, and product update notifications. |
| Preferences | Appearance | Console theme, animations, object display label, and status display preference. |
| Preferences | Privacy | Analytics data collection consent. |

## Account: Profile

The Profile section displays your personal contact information. To update a field, select it, make your changes, and select **Save**.

| Field | Description |
| - | - |
| First name | Your given name as it appears in the console. |
| Last name | Your family name. |
| Email | Your account email address. Contact your administrator if your email address needs to be changed. |
| Phone | Your contact phone number. |
| Language & Region | The locale used for date and number formatting. Available options: English (United States), English (United Kingdom), Portuguese (Portugal), and Spanish (Spain). |
| Timezone | Your local timezone, used for displaying timestamps in the console. |

## Security & Access: Security

The Security section has two cards: **Authentication** and **Password**.

### Authentication

The Authentication card controls two-factor authentication (TOTP) for your account. The **Two-Factor Authentication** row shows a badge indicating whether 2FA is currently enabled or not enabled.

For the full setup and disable procedures, see [Configure Two-Factor Authentication](https://zededa.mintlify.site/new-ui/infrastructure-services/administration/configure-2fa.md).

### Password

The Password card lets you change your account password. To update your password:

1. In the Profile Settings navigation, under **Security & Access**, select **Security**.
2. In the **Password** card, enter your current password in the **Current password** field.
3. Enter a new password in the **New password** field. The minimum length is 8 characters.
4. Enter the same new password in the **Confirm new password** field.
5. Select **Update password**.

If the new password and confirmation do not match, or if the new password is fewer than 8 characters, an error is shown and the password is not changed.

## Security & Access: API Tokens

API tokens are personal credentials that let you authenticate with the ZEDEDA CLI and programmatic API clients. Each token you create appears in this list as a session entry. The token secret is shown only once at creation time. Copy it before closing the dialog.

For procedures to create and revoke tokens, token scope, expiry and rotation guidance, and security best practices, see [Authentication](https://zededa.mintlify.site/api-reference/authentication.md).

### Token list columns

The token list shows the following columns:

| Column | Description |
| - | - |
| Name / Session | The token name and its session ID. Expired tokens are shown with strikethrough text. |
| Client | The IP address and user agent of the client that generated the token, if available. |
| Expires | The expiry date. Tokens expiring within 7 days are shown with a warning indicator. Expired tokens are labeled **Expired**. |

## Preferences: Notifications

The Notifications section controls which notification channels are active for your account. Toggle each item on or off:

| Notification type | Description |
| - | - |
| Email Notifications | Receive notifications via email. |
| SMS Notifications | Receive notifications via text message. |
| Critical Alerts | Important alerts about your nodes. |
| Product Updates | News about new features and updates. |

## Preferences: Appearance

The Appearance section controls how the console looks and behaves for you. These settings apply to your account only and do not affect other users.

### Theme

Select one of the following themes:

| Theme | Description |
| - | - |
| Light | A light background with dark text. |
| Dark | A dark background with light text. |
| Solarized | A warm light theme based on the Solarized color palette. |
| Funky | A dark warm-toned theme. |
| Ocean | A dark cool-blue theme. |
| Deep Ocean | A deeper dark blue theme. |
| System | Follows your operating system's light or dark mode setting. |

### Display

**Animations**: When enabled, the console shows interface animations such as pulsing status indicators and loading effects. Toggle off to reduce motion.

**Object Display Label**: Controls whether nodes, projects, networks, and other objects display their **Name** or their **Title** as the primary label in the console. Select the preferred value from the dropdown.

### Status display

**Status Display**: Controls how node and resource status is shown throughout the console. Select one of three options from the dropdown:

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| Pill only | Status is shown as a labeled pill badge. |
| Icon only | Status is shown as a compact icon. The status label is available as a tooltip. |
| Both | Status is shown as both an icon and a labeled pill badge. |

## Preferences: Privacy

The Privacy section contains your analytics consent preferences. Select your preference in the **Analytics Consent** panel. Your selection controls whether anonymized usage data is collected to help improve Edge Infrastructure Services.
