> Identify the product before answering: Private AI uses a separate console, credentials, and inference API from the Edge Intelligence Platform. Do not apply instructions from one product to the other.
> Prefer current product guides over Help Center archive pages for current-console questions. Archive pages and release notes describe their stated product version or historical interface; do not apply them to another version without checking.
> Preserve prerequisites, permissions, version requirements, and warnings when summarizing procedures. Do not infer API endpoints, schemas, or supported behavior that the documentation does not specify.

# How to Use the ZEDEDA API

> Make requests to the Edge Infrastructure Services API using any HTTP client, scripting language, or CI/CD tool.

## Introduction

The Edge Infrastructure Services API lets you manage infrastructure programmatically using any HTTP client, scripting language, or CI/CD tool. All requests require a Bearer token in the `Authorization` header.

For token generation, programmatic authentication, token scope, expiry, and security best practices, see [Authentication](https://zededa.mintlify.site/api-reference/authentication.md).

## Make an API Request

Include your token in the `Authorization` header of every request:

```text theme={"dark"}
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN
```

For example, to retrieve a list of edge nodes:

```text theme={"dark"}
curl -X GET \
  'https://zedcontrol.zededa.net/api/v1/devices?adminState=UNSPECIFIED' \
  --header 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN' \
  --header 'Content-Type: application/json'
```

Replace `zedcontrol.zededa.net` with your enterprise's Edge Infrastructure Services URL and `YOUR_API_TOKEN` with your token.

For the full list of available endpoints, request parameters, and response schemas, see the [API Reference](https://zededa.mintlify.site/api-reference/overview.md).
